elipsLife Netherlands appoints Gielijn Arends as CEO

 

Gielijn Arends will take over as the new CEO of elipsLife Netherlands on 10 July 2023. Albert Bakker, who has held the position since 2017, will retire at the end of August.

elipsLife Nethterlands had announced the appointment of Gielijn Arends as its CEO. Gielijn will continue to develop the company's business strategy, including elipsLife's product and services offering and its ongoing digital transformation that were led by his predecessor, Albert Bakker. 

 

Gielijn Arends brings extensive experience in the insurance sector, including working for the corporate insurer MS Amlin and its legal predecessors for 20 years. During his career, he has held various senior positions in underwriting, claims and reinsurance and has been Country Manager for the past nine years. Additionally, Gielijn has been actively involved in the Dutch Insurance Exchange Association, the Association of Insurers and the International Network of Insurance.
